I was trying to think of a way that I could share different types of stuff with you and I came up with the idea to do a “Friday Five” post. I have seen other blogs do similar types of posts and I always enjoy reading them so I figured this might be the way to go. On my Friday Five posts, I plan on sharing with you anything from things that are going on in my life to favorite products or things, current music I have been loving, a good movie or book and even some of my favorite blogs and bloggers. BUT I will limit the post to just five each Friday and will TRY to keep them short and sweet. So, let’s let the FRIDAY FIVING BEGIN….
I am going from part time to full time at my current job starting next week. Technically, I have already been working 36 hours a week for a few weeks now but the company I work for wants me to go full time at a property out on Okaloosa Island so I have accepted the position. I am both excited and nervous about the whole thing. Obviously excited about making more money, but nervous about trying to balance life, work, blogging and Youtubing. But most importantly, finding time for FUN!
This time next month, I am going to be meeting one of my most favorite blogging friends Christine, the beauty behind simplystine.com This will be our first time meeting and I am so excited to have the opportunity to finally meet this amazing woman. She has been one of my biggest sources of inspiration and motivation for the past year and half and she is also the one who helped me with the relaunch and design of my blog. She will be flying into town from Atlanta and we have rented a condo here locally in Fort Walton Beach on Okaloosa Island. We are going to do some shopping, relaxing at the beach and probably even some touristy things (Is “touristy” even a word?).
I subscribed to BOXYCHARM last month and I cannot even begin to tell you how impressed I am with it. I used to have a few beauty subscriptions like Ipsy and Birch Box but cancelled them after getting tired of receiving the same type of samples over and over again. Boxycharm is a little more expensive at $21 a month, but you get 4-5 FULL SIZE products every month instead of just a random full-size here and there and tons of sample sizes like other beauty subscription services offer. This moth we received a FULL SIZE Tarte Palette and it alone is valued at $36! Can u say SCORE? If you want to join Boxycharm with me then please use my link if you decide to get it because I earn charms that are good for products. https://boxycharm.com/refer/Julie-CXWWSZQY
I cannot stop playing with the Marc Jacobs Glambition palette that I received from Influenster. It is such a gorgeous palette and I still cannot believe that I scored it for free. And my fave foundation has been the Loreal Pro Glow for the past few months. It just looks so natural and pretty on my dry, mature, and textured skin. And whenever I pair that foundation with the Pixi Glow mist it makes me look so radiant and I love it!
Today is my husbands 41st birthday! I have been trying to get some sort of plans together for weeks but he kept changing his mind about where he wanted to do dinner and what he wanted to do, etc. So now it looks like we are doing nothing tonight except having some take out and maybe renting a Red Box movie then on Saturday night we are going fishing on the beach with some friends and family. Fishing is his favorite thing to do and luckily for us we are surrounded by water and plenty of good fishing spots. I am planning on surprising him with a cake at the beach on Saturday to share with everyone though. So now I am just trying to figure out how I am going to cut it and serve it without a table. Any ideas???
Well, that’s it for this weeks The Friday Five. THANKS for stopping by!
