Today’s Thankful Thursday is going to be simple and sweet. There are so many things that I am thankful for right now. But besides being thankful for certain things or situations in my life, I am very thankful for certain people in my life as well. So I thought that I would take the time to highlight a few of those very special people in my life…
1. My husband, Allen.
He has been my hero and my rock these past few weeks as I was dealing with my illness and trying to just wrap my head around everything that was going on in our lives. He stayed strong and kept reassuring me that I was going to be okay. Even though I knew in my heart that I was going to be fine, sometimes it just helps to hear it from the ones you love too. He only left my side when he had to work, and he came straight back to the hospital everyday as soon as he got off. He showed what the true meaning of a loving partner is and I will never forget or take for granted how good he is to me. I don’t know what I did to get so lucky to have him as my husband, but I do know exactly how blessed I am to have him.
2. My Sister, Christie.
My sister lives back in our home state of Georgia and when I told her about how sick I was, I could tell she was overly concerned and worried about me. Although she couldn’t be here with me, she was with me in spirit everyday. She constantly texted and called to check in on me and let me know how much she was praying for me everyday. I hate having people worry about me and I could only imagine how stressed and worried I would be if the tables were turned and it was one of my sisters who were sick. So I just appreciate her genuine and sincere love for me. Sister’s always make the best friends a girl could have.
3. My Blogger Bestie, Hope.
Hope and I have become quite good friends over the past few years and I can honestly say that this special little lady means the world to me! She is not only a great listener and friend, but she is also a fellow prayer warrior and is always happy to pray for you. Even though we have not met in person yet, I know that we will one day. (And we are both planning on it) I feel like I can tell her anything and everything. She is completely free of judgement and has one of the sweetest hearts I have ever known. Her sweet little texts and snaps always make my day and make me feel so loved. And even though she is literally like half my age, I never feel as though I am talking to such a young lady because she is so wise beyond her years. I absolutely cherish the friendship that we have established and I hope that we remain friends forever.
4. My Landlord, Charlotte.
How many people can look at their landlords as a friend too? Well, I am lucky in that I have one of the absolute best landlords on earth. She treats Allen and I both like family and she was by my side at the hospital on the day I got admitted. She was more than willing to help out with anything we needed and she continually kept telling me not to worry about anything. And that included, our rent! You rarely meet genuinely good people like her anymore and I am so thankful to have her in our lives.
It’s the people in our lives that are most important, not things. And the memories we make with them. And I am so honored to have these 4 people as a part of my life. I know that if I ever needed anything, I could count on any one of these amazing people, and that means the world to me. So lets celebrate all of the wonderful people in our lives today and make sure that we let them know just how much they mean to us.
Stay Beautiful & Blessed My Friends! <3
