I took this picture of the water in Navarre while I was out on the Pier with my hubby. It was so clear that day that I could see the Sheepheads and Spanish Mackerel swimming all around the pier. Which of course caused all the fishermen to go into a frenzy.

My husband loved to fish in lakes back in Georgia, but is now completely obsessed with Pier Fishing. I don’t mind this new hobby at all though. I usually tag along with him and take my Cannon to snap pictures with throughout the day. After all, you never know what you may see out there! And if I’m not snapping pictures, I’m writing in one of my journals, painting my nails, or listening to one of the locals fishing stories about their biggest catch.

If you catch “a big one” they will string it up here for photo ops and local news to see.
And you can always try a “Pier Mani” like I do. It’s fun to do your nails while surrounded by so much beauty. 😉
I bought my hubbs this shirt a few weeks ago at a store in the Harbor Walk Marina located in Destin. Is that not the perfect “Man Shirt?” Lol….
And if you do ever make it out to Navarre and decide to stroll the pier, you will probably see this sweet little lady. She is out there everyday from early morning til late in the evening. She fishes to feed her whole family. Since we only fish for fun and normally catch and release, we now give her all that we catch. It’s nice to see someone use natural resources to feed their family.
My hubby enjoying a Corona at the Tiki Bar. And here is a gorgeous pic that I snapped at dinner by the water.
Isn’t that a beautiful site? And if your into beach volleyball they have a couple of courts to play there. And there is usually a tournament going on during the weekends. I personally like to watch all the people try their hand at Paddle Boarding. I’ve never done it, but I know that I do not possess the type of balance I would need to do this. But evidently not many people realize that they are not exactly cut out for the sport either. So it’s quite entertaining to watch people give it a try and then get completely frustrated when they fall in the water. It’s all in good fun though!
There is so much more I want to share with you about my wonderful city. But for now I will leave you with one last photo. This was taken by me from one of the Pent houses on the 17th Floor at The Pearl on Navarre Beach. They have some gorgeous views of the Gulf from these condos!
Well I hope that you enjoyed learning a little bit about Navarre. I will be back soon with a post about some things to do in Destin next time. And I also hope that if you do ever get down this way for vacation, that you will let me know so we can meet for dinner! 😉
