I recently received another amazing PR package from Pixi Beauty and I have to admit, this has been my favorite of all I have received. They recently released a Rose infused Skintreats line and it is exactly what my over dry winter skin needed! The line consists of 8 different skin care items all of which are infused with Rose extracts. One of the first items I tried was the ROSE TONIC, and it has quickly become a favorite and a staple in my nightly skincare routine now. My skin tends to get mad and irritated every time I wash my makeup off and cleanse my face. I am a fan of double cleansing and exfoliating 3 times a week. But whether I am exfoliating or not, I always end up with a blotchy red face afterwards and this Rose Tonic is super soothing and calming to my skin. So if you are looking for something to help calm and refresh your skin, I would definitely recommend giving this a try!
Next up is their Rose Oil blend which is an ultra nourishing facial oil that will restore and renew your skins luminosity. It contains sweet almond, Rosehip, jojoba, pomegranate seed, and rose geranium oils to help nourish your complexion. I like to use it especially on my dry patches and around my nose and mouth. I feel like it has even helped to soften the look of some fine lines around my mouth whenever I have used it the night before.
This oil is suitable for all skin types, is not tested on animals and is paragon free. You can use it in the morning and evening and it only takes 2-3 drops so this sized bottle will last you quite some time. I also like to put a drop into my moisturizer that apply each morning before I put on foundation. I wouldn’t recommend trying that it you get particularly oily through out the day though.
The Rose Cream Cleanser is a nice lotion like cleanser that doesn’t have much of a scent but leaves the skin nice and clean. It contains rose and avocado to condition skin, and chamomile and aloe vera to soothe. It is suitable for all skin types including sensitive skin and I can attest to that. This is such a wonderful and gentle cleanser that I would definitely repurchase.
I will admit that I was a little hesitant to try the Rose Flash Balm at first, but it was simply because whenever I think of anything that is a “balm” I think of looking greasy. I have combination skin that tends to be a little sensitive and so I decided to try this on my T Zone for the first few days. My foundation applied just fine over it and it did not make it breakdown during the day or look greasy at all. I was quite surprised how well it held up honestly. This balm was created to give tired, dull skin a punch of moisture that will help to brighten and revitalize the skin and I think it does just that. I am not sure that I would use it all over my face as a primer as Pixi recommends, but that is only because I don’t think it would work well in my oilier areas. But I love the feeling of this balm on my drier areas and definitely think it works well to perk up my tired dull skin. I also love slathering this on thickly at night as a mask and leave it on for about five minutes before washing off. It makes my skin feel incredibly plump and hydrated before going to bed.
Have you tried any of Pixi’s new Skintreats lately? I think this Rose infused collection has become my favorite of all of their releases so far. I will definitely be keeping a few of these products in my skincare regimen and can’t wait to try more of their new goodies.
