This entire Pixi collaboration with beauties Chloe Morello, Dulce Candy and Weylie Hoang are all a makeup lovers dream! When I received this amazing PR package from them, I literally started jumping up and down and my husband thought I had lost my mind. I had seen where some bloggers had received this and I was instantly intrigued by the whole collection for 2 reasons. Number 1, I love Pixi products (but who doesn’t). Then Number 2, each palette/piece has shades for everyone!
I knew as soon as I opened this Weylie “Let’s Talk Eyes” palette that I was going to love it. I love the warm, rich shades and I actually even use the shade “Gurl!” as a highlighter. Since I can create multiple looks with this palette and use that one shadow as a highlighter, I now keep this one in my desk at work for quick touch ups. The shadows are very pigmented and blend easily and actually have some serious lasting power as well. I tend to gravitate towards using the shades “Potato and Sista” a lot and love how they look on my green eyes. And then the dark coppery brown “Beautis” makes a gorgeous under eye liner! In this set, Weylie also included a double ended eyeliner which was a total surprise love for me. I use both a liquid liner and a pencil or gel liner everyday, so to have both in one convenient pencil is a total score in my book. And the best part is that the liners are both amazing! I love how easily they both glide on and the pencil end has worked wonders for me with no smudging on my waterline.
When Dulce Candy worked on creating her “Cafe Con Dulce” palettes, she said that she chose her current “Go to shades, to lighten and brighten the face. Colors that are easy to use and come in an all in one portable compact.” I have to agree that the shades she chose are all great for creating light and bright fun looks with. These can be used as shadows or blushes and the colors are pigmented enough that you can wear them alone or layered on. I personally love using the pink toned shades as blushes and all three shades along the top as inner corner highlights. But there are so many different things you can do with this amazing little shadow and blush palette that it is a “must have” for your collection in my opinion. Now on to the cream lip palette, I have honestly not tried this at all. But it is because I am just not a huge fan of cream lip palettes or cream cheek products. So my loss here, but a friend is going to be super excited about receiving it though.
Chloe Morello chose to create a gorgeous all in one palette and a lip icing in a shade she called “Cake.” The all in one palette has multiple eyeshadows and blushes and then a dark brown and a black that can be used as liners. This is such a great palette for traveling with or for throwing in your handbag so that you have everything you need in one place. The lip icing is a gorgeous glittery concoction that you feels very comfortable on the lips. You would think that with the amount of glitter in the product that it would feel gritty or uncomfortable but it is quite the opposite. This was the one product in this collection of goodies that surprised me the most. I didn’t think I would really care for it but I am obsessed! It makes such a gorgeous topper to go over all my favorite summer nudes and pinks.
What do you guys think about these Pixi Collabs? I think these products all turned out amazing and love each of the influencers that Pixi chose to do these collaborations with. How blessed are these ladies to get to work with Pixi like this?
