Per usual the ” New Year New Me” crap is popping up all over social media. And also as usual, I will still be the same old me this year. However, I have decided to try and make a few changes in my life that I hope I can pull off-But if I fail, (and I probably will) I refuse to beat myself up over it. I am not into making resolutions but I do love a good set of goals. I think making goals is a healthy way to challenge and better ourselves. So whose with me? Let’s go #GOALDIGGERS!
My Goals as of today are to:
Start Blogging More (Of course we all know I am pretty bad at this one)
To start spending more time outdoors (Meaning less worrying about how perfect and clean the house is and more focus on enjoying our gorgeous beaches and life here on the gulf coast)
Up my water intake and quit drinking any sort of diet drinks or sodas (this is a tough one for me because I love flavored drinks)
To start reading more, more books, more blogs, etc. (I always think about reading and how much I love it but rarely take the time to do it)
Plan more weekend Goonie Adventures with the hubbs. (We used to go on weekend road trips all the time and we haven’t done it much since we moved here & I really miss it. Definitely looking forward to some fun trips this year!)
Start exercising and stop making excuses! (I know this one is so cliche but I have got to get my butt in shape! My joint pain is already terrible and I know the more extra weight I carry the worse it is on my body. So I am not going to focus on scale numbers but rather more about feeling better.)
Quit “Impulse Shopping” and try to only buy things/products that I actually need. (This one is going to be really tough for me as I tend to think I need things just because I want them, and theres a huge difference between the two.)
Start keeping my Jeep and our truck clean. (So this is generally pretty hard to do living here in Florida because sand gets EVERYWHERE but we do need to work on keeping things like coffee cups and trash out of our vehicles.)
Landscape our yard this spring! (I say I’m going to do this every single year and it never happens. Let’s see if I can pull it off this year!)
Well, that is pretty much the main things that I have set goals to achieve for myself this year. Some of them I am not too worried about but some of them are more serious and I am going to take them seriously. That is another reason why I want to get back into blogging for accountability. I miss having conversations with my friends and readers here so I really hope to do better this year about putting up good content for you. I also really want to start working on doing more Gulf Coast lifestyle posts this year and Allen even said he would help me with them so I am super excited about that! Let me know what kind of things would you like to see here on my blog this year and also what are some of your 2019 goals?
