I completely, 100%, bought this lipstick solely because of the packaging. I just thought the black and Pink together was super cute. There, I admitted it. Now I do like the shade I chose as well. But it was just that hard pink plastic top that got me. I don’t know why, it’s not even that special. AVON has a line of lipsticks that have a similar pink top and I have several of them. But anyways, the reason I grabbed this was because of that, no matter how silly it was or not.
The color I chose is “112 Unending Kiss.” I thought this looked like “my lips but better” so it would probably be a great lippie to throw in my purse that I could wear anytime, anywhere. I purchased mine from my local Walgreens for $8.99. I believe the original price was $9.99 but they had a $1 off any Loreal product coupon in the store, so I lucked up and got the dollar off.
When I found these, I had not even ever heard of this line before. Maybe I’m just not keeping up with all the new product lines. But in my defense, it’s hard to keep up with all of the new stuff constantly coming out! Anyways, I could’t wait to try out this baby….

There are 20 colors in this line ranging from “barely there” Pinks to deep, dark, Burgundy Wine shades. So there is no shortage of color choices in this line. But I will admit that I was quite disappointed overall with this lipstick and I’ll tell you why. First of all, the lasting power of this lippie is NOT what Loreal claims it is. They say that it will last up to 10 hours, and each time I have worn this, it has barely survived two hours on me. And from some of the reviews I have read, that seems to be what most people have said about it as well. I’m not one who minds having to re-apply my lipstick though, so that’s not a huge deal to me. But for some who may not be able to re-apply all the time, like for instance when at their jobs, I could see how this would be a complete bummer. I know a lot of women will buy their lipsticks solely based on how long it is supposed to last. Also, it transfers onto everything I eat or drink which can be equally annoying and disappointing.
But, enough of the bad stuff, let’s move on to the good qualities of this lippie…..
Let’s talk about this color, Isn’t she gorgeous? This is a perfect Pinky/Nude to have in your collection. And let me tell you, this formulation is super creamy! It literally glides across my lips so gently and nicely. There is no tugging whatsoever with this. And the scent is lovely too. It’s a faint, light, sweet smell, and is very pleasant. It has a great sheen to it and that does’t wear down. Or at least it does’t on me for the two-three hours that it lasts on me anyways. I am so in love with this gorgeous shade that I can get past all of the other “issues” that I have had with it. And I would most definitely repurchase. However, if you are someone who doesn’t like having to reapply your lippie, or who can’t stand when lipstick transfers, then you better skip this one. I hate to give such a mixed review, but this one has a few bad qualities and a few good ones as well. So it’s a total toss up!
Have you ever purchased something solely based on packaging and then totally regretted it? I’m glad in this case, I at least enjoy the color and texture of it. But I think that from here going forward, I am going to be a little more choosy with the things that I pick up just because it has pretty packaging.
Have you ever used one of these LOREAL Infalilble Le Rouge Lippies? If so, what are your thoughts on them?
Stay Beautiful & Blessed!
