Over the past year, I have become quite the fan of good skincare. I don’t know what took me so long but at least I am being proactive now. So I am always on the hunt for the next big thing that is going to help my skin look better or younger overall. I’ve been seeing these new Loreal masks popping up everywhere so I decided to give one of them a try for myself. I ended up choosing the Exfoliate & Refine Pores mask since these are two concerns I have for my own skin. I found mine at CVS and purchased it for $17.97. I thought the price was a little steep honestly since there isn’t a ton of product inside, but after using it, I would say that I don’t mind the price now. Upon my very first application, I noticed that my skin was superbly exfoliated and my pores appeared somewhat smaller as well.
LOREAL describes this mask as:
“Indulgent, transformative, and perfectly clean. The LOREAL skin experts created a super charged, pure exfoliating clay mask that is enhanced with Red Algae extract to exfoliate and refine your skin within just 10 minutes.”
They claim that this product:
Addresses Rough Skin
Removes Dead Skin Cells
Refines Skin Texture
(This mask makes you look like a Tomato threw up all over your face)
So while this isn’t the prettiest face mask you’ll ever have on your face, it is an overall great mask. It smells like a “minty-clay” and has just the right amount of small exfoliators in it to help give your skin a nicely polished look. This mask is simple to apply and then all you have to do is leave it on for 10-15 minutes and then simply rinse off. The way I like to use it though is by washing it off using circular motions to help even further exfoliate my skin. Once finished, my skin looks and feels amazing.
The product itself is very thick but smoothes on quite nicely and if your careful, a little will go a long way. And as a matter of fact, I personally prefer a thinner layer as I feel like it exfoliates better that way. I have shopped around online to see if there were any better deals out there for this product and you can definitely find it a few dollars cheaper. It is on sale on Walmart.com right now for only $9.98, Target for $9.99 and at Ulta.com for only $11.04. I would highly recommend giving this a try if you are in the market for a new face mask, especially if you like a good exfoliate and pore minimizer.
Have you guys tried any of these new LOREAL masks yet? If so, which one did you try and what do think about it?
