I got to experience two “firsts” when trying out this product. It was my first time trying out a Liz Earle product (which I was totally excited about) and it was the first time I tried a hot cloth cleanser as well. I had received this in my Birch Box last month and could not have been more excited about getting to try something for the first time. Lately I have really been into skincare and I am finally starting to see some of the benefits of actually taking care of my skin properly. Just too bad for me that it took me until age 41 to get serious about it. Shame on me! But, better late than never right?
Now I have heard of the Liz Earle brand for years, mostly from my favorite UK Blogger and skin care expert, Caroline Hirons. She is like the “GO TO skin expert” over in the UK. And I am completely obsessed with watching her youtube videos where she goes into detail about different types of skincare and facials. So ever since the first time I heard her mention the brand Liz Earle, I have always wanted to try something from her line. Not sure why I never sought out to actually purchase something to try though…
( Pictured: This is the Deluxe Size Sample )
In this deluxe sample size you get 35 ML of product, and a Muslin cloth. The 35 ML of product is a great amount of product to try out and get familiarized with, and is just enough so that you can get several uses out it. And then be able to make a good judgement on whether or not you would like to purchase a full size or not. The original full size of this gives you 100 ML and comes in a nice pump style bottle, and also with a Muslin Cloth. The purpose of the Muslin cloth is to gently “polish” off the cleanser to help gently dislodge any left behind grime or dead skin cels. I have never personally used anything like this, other than a good old fashioned warm wash cloth. I would definitely have to say that the Muslin cloth is a lot gentler on the skin than a standard washcloth. I was skeptical at first because it just looks like a thin, cheap piece of fabric. But they have made a believer out of me. It makes such a difference in how my skin looks after cleansing. Almost like it is so squeaky clean that it shines.
This multi award winning cleanser has evidently become quite a cult favorite. Leave it to me to be the last person in the beauty world to find out about it. But at least I have found out about it now and can enjoy all of the amazing benefits from it.
This works as a dual phase cleanser that is plant based and it contains some great ingredients such as Hops extract, Cocoa Butter, Chamomile and Rosemary essential oils. For phase one, it works simply as a cleanser by removing all of your makeup. And that even includes any stubborn mascaras. Then for phase two you use the muslin cloth to polish your face with. You just wet it with some slightly hot water and wring out the excess then use it to wipe your face with. It gently and softly polishes your skin to help remove dead skin cells and to reveal new clean and radiant fresh skin. I have never used a face cleanser before where I had such an immediate result and amazing first impression from. Now of course this may not be the case for everybody since our skin is all so drastically different. But for me and my issues such as dullness and lots of dry patches, this works like perfection at giving me the nice clean face I want along with it looking more fresh right afterwards as well. I could not recommend this stuff more to be honest. I plan on buying myself a pump starter bottle the first chance I get. And if you’re a Birchbox subscriber like me, they have a 100ml pump bottle available for only $25 that ships free which I think is such a great deal for this product. But you can always just purchase it straight through the Liz Earle website as well. They have multiple sizes available over on their site: LIZ EARLE
Have any of my fellow beauty lovers given this a go before?
