I have never done a post before on any hair care items but I am completely obsessed with a few different products from Kenra so I thought, WHY AM I NOT SHARING THESE with you all? It took me over three years after moving to the Gulf Coast to find a salon and hairdresser that I liked, but when I found Jessica At Hair by Jessica in Fort Walton Beach, that all changed. The very first time she cut and colored my hair she used the Kenra Blow dry spray and as soon as she sprayed it, I had to know what it was because it smells amazing. She said that most of her clients also love the scent of that product and she has heard it being described as everything from cotton candy to Fruity Pebbles cereal. I can’t pin point exactly what it smells like to me but I would definitely describe it as a sweet, candy like smell and I am totally okay with my hair smelling like that.
The Kenra Professional Platinum Blow-dry spray is supposed to cut down your drying time while also providing heat protection from breakage or damage. I don’t know exactly how much time it saves me on my drying time but I have noticed since using it that my hair does seem to dry much faster when I use the product. It is a lightweight product that does not weigh hair down but it is “greasy like” so if you have naturally greasy hair you will probably only want to use this on your ends. I use it from my neck down since my roots can be a bit oily and it works fine for me this way. My favorite method of application is to spray the product into my hands and then gently run the product through my hair with my fingers. This gives me beautiful shine and helps to keep me frizz free all day while also making my hair smell good too. If I had to pick a holy grail hair product right now that I absolutely would not want to live without, this would be it guys, so I highly recommend giving this a try sometime. You can find Kenra products at Ulta and this Blow dry spray retails for $22.00 but is currently on sale 2 for $30. I am also equally obsessed with the Voluminous Touch Spray Lotion. It is designed to give you volume from root to tip without weighing it down and adds silky shine while providing flexible hold. I do have a problem with the spray nozzle clogging on this product quite often but I just pull off the build up off the tip then run it under hot water then it is good to go again. I didn’t realize how much I truly loved this product until I ran out of it one morning and didn’t have it. I feel like my hair looked so flat and stuck to my head all day so I always make sure to have a back up on hand of this at all times now.
One of my other favorites from this line is the Perfect Blowout Light Hold Styling Crème which retails for $17. I use this right after I apply the blow dry mist and it smells equally delicious although it does have a different scent and is more like a Smokey cherry scent. I don’t feel like I really need a styling crème since most of the time I wear my hair straight, however this one delivers thermal protection of up to 450F so I figure I am doing my hair a favor by using this before flat ironing. I also like to use it whenever I braid my hair as I feel like it helps to keep the frizz at bay and helps to keep my braids looking nice throughout the day.
Also on my Kenra faves list would have to be their Professional Color Charge SHAMPOO AND CONDITIONER. I will be honest and tell you that I am not a fan of all their shampoos and conditioners but these are awesome. They have the same scent as the blow dry spray (which I love) and leave my hair soft and shiny. I truly believe that this line helps to extend my color so I swear by it. I love when they run the large liter ones on sale at Ulta each year so that’s when I stock up on it. I’ve gotten to where this is the only shampoo and conditioner that I like to use other than a purple shampoo that most blondes use to help keep the brassiness down. If your a blonde or color your hair at all then I would say definitely add this shampoo and conditioner to your must try list, I promise if you do that you won’t be disappointed. Have you tried any Kenra products that I need to add to my wish list?
