When I recently my new job, I had to start getting up much earlier than I was used to. My alarm goes off at 5am (I know, UGH!) but ya gotta do what ya gotta do, right? So anyways I started noticing that 0nce I got out in the daylight, my makeup was looking way darker than it looked when I was getting ready. The only thing I could come up with that could be my problem was the lighting in the room where I get ready. It is still super dark that early in the morning and my girly room where I get ready has dark, Slate gray walls too which doesn’t help. So when Christmas rolled around, the hubby asked me what I would like and I told him I could really use a lighted makeup mirror. I was originally going to go with one of the Simple Human brand ones but then I got an email from the Impressions Vanity Company and they were having an amazing sale so I forwarded it to Allen and told him I wanted one of these simple and very fairly priced LED ones. This model is their Touch 2.0 Dimmable Led Mirror In Matte which retails for $45 (but it is almost always on some sort of sale on their website.) You can get it in White, Pro Black, Rose Gold or Champagne Gold but I just went with the basic White so that it would match my vanity.
One of the things that I really liked about this particular model was the little tray in the front. I thought this was a great little addition to the mirror where I could put my earrings and rings each day. And I also like the fact that the lights are dimmable so you can adjust them to whatever brightness you need. That early in the morning I always have it on the brightest setting but sometimes if I am touching up my makeup for going out in the evening, I can use a lighter setting.
The mirror is adjustable and you can tilt it to you’re liking or just leave it straight. Whenever I am working on my eyeliner, I like to tilt it back as far as possible so that the lower half of the mirror is closest to my eyes. It has a basic on off switch on the back. but you can also turn it off by just pressing the center circle light on the front as well. That is also where you can dim the lights to adjust the brightness as well. All you have to do is hold your finger on that circle and it will slowly get brighter, then you just take your finger off whenever it reaches the brightness level of you’re liking.
Allen ended up scoring this mirror for me for only $18 which is a total steal. But I think it is totally worth the original retail price as well too. Ever since I started using it my makeup has looked much better and I have had no more issues with my foundation not being blended well enough or my shadows looking too dark and un-blended. So if you are in the market for a cheaper version of a lighted makeup mirror I highly suggest you check out Impressions Vanity Company. I am not sponsored by this company and purchased this mirror with my own money. I just really like this product and thought I would share it with you guys.
Hope you are all having a blessed week so far!
