We had some family come in town last week and stay through Easter Sunday. So we wanted to take them to all of our favorite restaurants and tourist spots. As well as getting in some serious beach time. The only problem we had was that Mother Nature decided to send us another quick cold front and lots of rain while they were here. But thank goodness no one let the weather ruin their time!

They have several one on one type experiences where you can actually go “behind the scenes” with the trainers and the animals for a once in a lifetime experience. Imagine touching a Dolphin, or having a Harbor Seal kiss you on the cheek! If this sounds like something you would like to do, please check out there website for more details at:
The first exhibit we saw was the Penguins! You seriously have no heart if you don’t like these adorable little creatures! I could just watch them waddle around for hours.
My favorite was the Orange Starfish. I absolutely love them! And then pictured on the bottom holding one if them is Tiffany (My nieces Best Friend.)
The gulfarium is home to lots of Reptiles and Turtles, Birds, Penguins, Stingrays and Sea Lions, Harbor Seals and of course the dolphins. I could have stayed at the dolphin tank all day. Just look at all the beautiful photos I got of these magnificent creatures!
And believe it or not, all of these photos were just taken with my IPhone5! I’m pretty impressed by them myself! I can’t wait to go back and do the hands on experience. I may even try the “VIP trainer one.” It’s a bit pricey at almost $400 but I think it is worth it for such an amazing experience! In that one, you actually get to go in the water with them and assist their trainers for the day. How cool is that! Everyone in our family really enjoyed this, especially the cutest member of our family, Waylon!
Then luckily on Saturday, the clouds parted and we got one absolutely gorgeous afternoon at the beach!
I’m telling you there is nothing like the Emerald Green water in the gulf when the sun hits it just right. It’s absolutely magical! I swear as soon as I’m in the water with a snorkel mask on,
Me and my beautiful niece Tiffany on the way to dinner!
After they bring your coffee choices, they bring you out some fresh Honey Bread and Butter. And some of their famous French Quarter Beignets! These are a MUST HAVE!!!!
Their Omlets are delicious as are the OBrien Potatoes that they serve along side them. We have had brunch there so many times and have yet to be disappointed. McGuires is our absolute favorite restaurant along the coast. Their dinner Steaks and burgers are always cooked to perfection. And their traditional Irish dishes like the Reuben Egg Rolls and Shepards Pie won’t disappoint either! Do yourself a favor and definitely eat there if you ever get a chance!
You just can’t go wrong with a Piña Colada by the water !
I asked Waylon what he thought about the Fishes and he said “Ooh they nasty.” Guess we don’t have to worry about him becoming a fisherman!
