I’ve been a huge fan of BH Cosmetics for several years. Their products are great quality and they are super affordable as well, (which a broke girl like me can really appreciate). I recently got my hands on this Nude Rose 4 Color Highlighter palette and honestly I wasn’t expecting to love it as much as I do. I am mainly a gold highlight kinda girl, but I have been having lots of fun adding the Pink Pearl, Rose Gold and Pearl to different looks as well.
Let’s talk packaging first…
This highlighter comes in nice, sturdy, metal packaging that has a magnetic closure. I love any product that has metal packaging because it makes them so much more travel friendly. And there is a large mirror right inside of the compact that is perfect for touch ups while out and about.
Colors From Top Left: Icy Pink, Rose Gold, Pink Pearl and Pearl
BH Cosmetics says “You can create a super-flattering luminous look with our Nude Rose 4 color highlighter palette, a versatile quartet of shimmering shades. They add a gorgeous glow and will enhance your features. Simply apply the velvety, opalescent powder and blend well to illuminate cheekbones, brow bones, above your cupids bow and center of bottom lip, along the bridge and center of your nose, to brighten inner corners of your eyes, or anywhere light would naturally hit your face.”
If I had to choose a favorite it would definitely be the Rose Gold, however I do enjoy them all. I mainly just use a highlighter on my cheek bones and a bit on the end of my nose. But the Pinky shades in this palette are so beautiful that I have also worn them as stand alone eyeshadows swept across my lid for a quick and easy work look. I also like the Rose Gold or the Pearl as a shoulder highlight. I’m a “big girl” so I don’t have a visible collar bone, but I still like to sweep a highlight across the tops of my shoulder area for a soft, romantic touch sometimes. I love palettes like this that you can use for multiple different uses.
I will be honest in telling you that these do come off a little bit dusty at first. But once you blend them a bit they look just fine. I think the shade Pearl is the one that seems to be the most powdery upon first application but it still performs perfectly. In fact, I think it is one of the prettier white highlights that I have come across. This palette is a total gem at only $11.99 over at:
So if you are in the market for a new and affordable highlighter kit, I would highly recommend giving this one a try. Have you found any other Highlighter gems that I should know about?
