I am always on the hunt for a good moisturizer so when my Youtube friend Lauren started raving about how good this stuff was I knew I had to try it. I have pretty dry skin and need something that will not only hydrate my skin but that will stand up under my makeup through a 9 hour work day and Florida’s crazy humidity. I used to be huge fan of Clinique’s skin care range but I honestly have not tried anything from this brand in years so I was super excited about trying this out. It was sold out in a few different places but I was finally able to score some from Ulta.
I like the simple packaging on the product but I really wish this came in a tube or pump because I am not a huge fan of things that come in pots. But since this is a gel formula it would probably clog up a pump at some point anyway. This doesn’t really have a scent and feels nice and cool when you apply it. However right after application it does feel a tiny bit sticky on your skin but not enough to be bothersome. It sinks into the skin quickly and instantly feels more plump and supple, and not to mention super soft.
I am normally not a fan of gel type moisturizers but I am really enjoying this one a lot. So far I feel like it really does a great job at hydrating my skin and lasts through my work day like I need it too. The only thing that I don’t really agree with on this is the whole “72 Hour Auto Replenishing” thing. I wash my face daily and I am positive that I remove all traces of this moisturizer as well so I don’t know how that could possibly work. But hey, I’m no chemist so what the heck do I know. What I do know is that it works well for me and my dry parched skin. I am curious to see how well it holds up as we start getting hotter weather and more of the awful Florida humidity but I still have high hopes for this and think it is going to work just fine.
The lightweight texture is one of my most favorite things about this product. And I love the way my makeup applies over it as well. I think this would work well on all skin types so if your in the market for a new moisturizer definitely give this one some thought.
Have you guys tried any other Clinique products that I should be trying?
